Poemas por Joselon, las emociones en español
Poems by Joselon, emotions in English (not a translation)

Mountain Mine

Contemplating the mountain, sitting on my door step,
I was overwhelmed by tenderness, as I heard what she had to tell.

To all men under the sun, to the kings of the earth,
She cared and loved them all, just as children from her womb

Fruits without measure grow in her rugged hands,
From her stone heart springs the river and the well.

How many suns have shone upon her tracks and ways
How many men have come, tallied and faded away.

Her skin bears the imprint where men have toiled
Her face all burned up and her womb sorely violated

SLEEP OH MY MOUNTAIN. SLEEP AT LEAST FOR A SHORT WHILE.

SLEEP OH MY MOUTAIN.WHILE I SING FOR YOU THIS LULABYE.
